Sip Brew Bar & Eatery in San Antonio

My family and I were going to Starbucks but found that there was this nice coffee shop right cross the streets. We wanted to try something new since we were jus visiting San Antonio. I’m pleased to say I enjoyed it very much. They suggested the Shaken Latte and really loved it:)) Thanks so much for the lovely experience.

Right off the river walk. grabbed an Iced hazelnut almond milk latte from a corner coffee shop called Sip.While this drink was very tasty (AMAZING hazelnut flavoring), I found it leaving my coffee craving unsatisfied. The espresso’s strength was disappointing.Staff was super friendly and accommodating, nice atmosphere, and as my host suggested a great place to people watch!

If Local Coffee works for you then this is fine, My standard coffee rating is based on an Americano with about 2/3 of the normal amount of water added. What I had was not as rich or strong as I hoped. A small percentage of comfortable seating on plush couches, most are hard seats.

I got a chai tea here and it was delicious. The staff is super nice and very helpful! Highly recommend visiting

The main focus here is on coffee, but they have a handful of sammiches and a few salads. I had the Veggie Delight sandwich ($7.58 with tax). TONS of avocado (they don’t skimp on the avocado here my peeps), lettuce, tomatoes, hummus, and caramelized onions on a couple of pieces of nicely toasted/grilled bread. Most places hold back on the avocado, but I can’t stress enough how much avocado was on this sandwich - and that’s a GOOD thing. It’s laid out like your typical hipster style coffee bar. Most of the seating is at bars around the windows looking out onto the street, and they have soft couches and chairs to lounge around on and discuss those important hipster issues while you enjoy your “brew.”

I love this place and make it a point to eat here whenever I’m in the area. The Sexy is amazing and the coffee is so good. Everything is made to order, even the sandwich meats are freshly cut. That said, don’t expect to be in and out in five minutes. Take a seat, watch the city traffic outside and relax for a little while. It’s so worth it

Nice, local coffee shop in downtown. We stopped by for ice cream. Clean, eclectic and open with bright big windows. Plenty of seating to sit and enjoy leisurely. Great customer service.

On vacation and looking for a great coffee. Sip is delicious! Perhaps the best soy cappuccino I’ve ever had! Breakfast treats are good too. Staff is friendly too. We came here every morning while in San Antonio.

I love to stop off at Sip during my towntown bike rides. I enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly staff. I have tried the espresso but today I tried a latte. Both were a perfect pick me up. Give them a visit. You will not be disappointed.

This is a cozy corner coffee shop with a variety of menu options and seating. Staff was friendly and we ordered vanilla lattes with almond milk and they were delicious. Great spot for people watching, chatting with friends or spending time in a book. Definitely recommend.

I got the turkey sandwich, it was solid with fresh veggies, thick bacon, and great bread. I'll be going back to try the chicken pesto sandwich.

The fancy sandwiches are quite nice. The Standard is my favorite so far. If you're looking for fresh and simple, this is a great choice.

The coffee had a good rich flavor but was not warm enough for me. The cinnamon roll was delicious but they had very few choices in pastries. It was a good experience not Great.

Was recommended this place by the lady over at CADEAUX. Very pleasant atmosphere. Though coffee prices are almost on par with the starbucks right across the street I definitely prefer this place. Good coffee.

Love the atmosphere, service is friendly and absolutely the best! The best of the best for coffee, we are from Kansas City and am looking forward to a location coming near us!

Cool little coffee shop with real food. Don’t go to the Starbucks across the street, come here.

This is a nice little coffee place, with a great variety of coffee, juices, sandwiches, sallads and similar quick bites.Really cosy. Friendly and welcoming staff. A must visit if you prefer the independent and local.

I tired to go across the street in the Starbucks, always long lines, homeless people and dirty. So what pleasant place, really clean, not crowded and with tasty pastries and excellent coffee. Customer service is friendly and fast. Their lemon cake is so good. Five stars, great place to go and fair prices.

The coffee here is AMAZING. The team behind the counter is always super nice, I’m from out of town but they remembered me the next day I came in. I got the standard sandwich which was really great. It may take a minute to get your order when they’re busy, but I promise it’s worth the wait!I also like that they try to be environmentally conscious- with paper straws and no lids

Great place for a coffee break , as a modern specialty coffee with view to street highly recommend for coffee snacks.

Atmosphere is layed back and comfortable. Quit and cute. Perfect place to sit back and read a book or even do some out of office work. The service is very good and the latte is fantastic and beautifully made! I always enjoy finding out of the box places to stop for coffee.

This place is a delicious jewel in downtown. The curry chicken salad sandwich is the best in town and their coffee is delicious.

Their coffee is very good, much better than the chain-that-will-not-be-named across the street. My husband and I also had sandwiches here one Saturday: he had the Sexy and I had the Madras. He enjoyed his sandwich very much, with crispy bacon, egg, and thinly sliced avocado. Mine was the best curried chicken sandwich I've had. The spices were a perfect blend, where no one spice overwhelmed any of the others, the shredded carrots and walnuts added texture and crunch. It was delicious!

The espressos are great and their service is great. Extremely friendly and helpful.

I love this place. HAS AMAZING HOT CHOCOLATE! And I usually order "the sexy" the atmosphere is chill and you can get a good cup of coffee without having to wait a million years like the Starbucks across the street. I've visited on multiple occasions. And the only complaint is that 5/6 times I've been there. They ran out of something I want to order. Maybe I'm just going at a bad time but only reason that's kept me away

Vegan sandwich was reported to be “really good” by travel buddy; they aren’t skimping on the avocado :) Coffee was good as well. Service was great! Super gregarious guy behind the counter.

I was in san antonio for a few days for a congress! This cafe is really nice to drop for cup of coffee. Calm and good atmosphere. They have many local magazines to read. Staff is warm, polite. Thank you San Antonio!

Didn't have any pastries when I went (9 am on a Thursday), but the cold brew has got to be amongst the best I've ever had! Pretty small place but definitely a great one to come in and get some quick work done while having your morning/noon/midday coffee.

Excellent cappuccinos. The americanos are good, but tend to be slightly sour.

Great location. Historic downtown San Antonio. Great baristas and awesome service. I ate a The Sexy and it was actually really tasty. The latte however was a bit water down or at least that is the taste in comparison to other similar coffee shops. But overall experience was great. Will definetly come back. 2 thumbs up.

Almost has the funky vibe that I like. Great coffee and decent service. I will come back tomorrow vs going to Starbucks directly across the street.

Came here for the first time and the croissant and hot chocolate that I got was absolutely delicious. On top of that, great service. Definitely will be my go to place whenever I come visit San Antonio

Quiet, relaxing, chill, laid back enviroment. A place to sit and watch the many diversified tourists of downtown San Antonio walk by busy with their day and escape the hustle and bustle of life, if even for a moment of the day to Sip your coffee.

Delicious dirty chai - chai is made in-house. WiFi and comfortable seating with a variety of options. More interesting than the Starbucks across the street. Solid 4.5

Very hot chai tea latte. Just enough flavor to be delish! Fast service. In and eating sipping in just few mins. The strudel was absolutely DELICIOUS! Woman said it was just delivered and Fresh naturally.

I didn’t know it was possible to have a bad experience at a coffee shop, but Sip found a way to make that happen. After waiting 20 minutes for a chai tea latte, I ended up with a disgusting cup of warm milk with only the slightest hint of tea. I took one sip, threw it in the trash and went across the street to Starbucks. Do yourself a favor. Go to Starbucks. Sip is hopelessly bad.

The Paninis use to be amazing here. I would always get the Italian. I came back, but it’s not AT ALL how they use to be. I’m open to the new style of the sandwich. But in general, it is WAY too salty, and the bread is too dry. Need to bring back the Original SIP.

Great place to unwind while walking the river walk or just because. It’s across from a Starbucks which is always packed. It’s nice to have kind service, great LOCAL coffee and the vibe is super chill. Even pet friendly!

Just got their house coffee (black of course) and very flavourful. Wish the large was bigger than 16oz however that doesn't affect the taste.

Awesome shop, locally owned, everything made locally, fresh ingredients. Wish they were open later but other than that awesome little spot. Helpful baristas and friendly as well.

Relaxed coffee hang out. Nicely broken in leather couches. Good low key soundtrack suits the neighborhood feel. Nice Cortado.
